Sebastián, born in Argentina in 1990, is a Visual Storyteller and Environmental Photographer. His focus is on exploring the profound connection between human beings and the natural environment they inhabit. notably, in 2019, he received the Early Career Grant from National Geographic, allowing him to investigate the environmental and cultural significance of Latin America's largest wetlands. Since then, he has been working in the field. During the challenging times of the pandemic in 2020, Sebastián received support from the National Geographic Covid-19 Emergency Fund and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This support enabled him to research the impact of the pandemic on local communities, the historical decline of the Paraná River, and the massive fires in the wetlands. Sebastián's work has gained recognition on prestigious international platforms. His pieces have been exhibited at renowned institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney. Additionally, his art has been displayed in galleries in Brazil, Italy, France, and Belgium. His work has been published in prestigious media outlets such as The New York Times, TIME, National Geographic, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, El País, Getty Images, and American Quarterly, among others.
