Renato Palmuti is a Brazilian visual artist and teacher based in São Paulo. He serves as co-representative for Brazil in the International Watercolor Society and advises the Brazilian Association of Watercolor and Art on Paper. He began his career in advertising and as an art director, but later focused his expression on watercolor and drawing, especially working with live models. Renato has taught more than five hundred watercolorists via workshops, online courses, and at studios across Brazil. He has participated in international residencies, served as a juror in major Brazilian watercolor salons, and exhibited his work abroad, including in Portugal, Italy, México, Turkey, and Spain. Among his notable works is the art book Peixes do Brasil , which includes lectures he has given to children in São Paulo. Renato’s style emphasizes fluidity, transparency, study of the human figure and landscapes, and a blending of traditional and digital techniques.
