For over 20 years, he has led the in-house design office of a major cultural center on the island. A graduate of the Cuban University of Design (ISDi), he has traveled extensively, giving lectures, showcasing poster exhibitions, and conducting workshops around the world. His work has been widely published and exhibited in books and magazines and has participated in numerous international design competitions, especially poster biennials. On two occasions — in Quito and Seoul — he served as a jury member for international competitions. A passionate poster enthusiast, he founded The Poster-Friends Club in 2007, a local group dedicated to the appreciation of poster art. His private collection of Cuban posters is the second-largest on the island. In collaboration with a colleague, he co-authored the book Poster of the Revolution in 2017. In 2021, he received the National Design Award in recognition of his lifetime achievements. Considered one of the greatest Cuban poster designers, he is part of the distinguished group known as El maestro del cartel cubano de todos los tiempos , and has significantly contributed to the international acclaim that Cuban posters received in the 1970s.
