Geenss Archenti is a Peruvian painter born in Tarapoto, in the San Martín region. He is self-taught and works mixing natural pigments made from resins, saps, and fruits of the Peruvian forest. He calls his color materials “medicinal pigments.” Archenti is inspired by the sacred medicine traditions of Amazonian indigenous cultures. His artwork often mixes nature, dreams, memory, and visions with rich colors, organic forms, and symbolic images. He has painted murals at places like El Castillo de Lamas, renewing his techniques over years. He aims not only to show the beauty of nature but also to rescue and reconnect with elements of culture that are being lost, using pigments and methods rooted in ancestral knowledge. His works are collected in galleries and private collections internationally. Through his art he invites people to see nature as alive, to remember indigenous wisdom, and to experience color, form, and dream as part of identity and healing.
