Mostafa Goodarzi, born in 1960 in Borujerd, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the University of Tehran, a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from the University of Rennes, and a Ph.D. in Art History from the Sorbonne University in France. Throughout his career, Goodarzi has been actively involved in various academic, artistic, and cultural roles in Iran, including: Dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts; Director of the Visual Arts Center of Hozeh Honari; member of several specialized art committees and councils; scientific and artistic advisor to the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art; member of various postgraduate and academic councils of art departments; designer and consultant for numerous national and international exhibitions and television programs; member of policy-making boards, selection committees, and juries of various art competitions and events; as well as designer, consultant, and art director for several specialized conferences and national and international visual arts exhibitions. His contributions also include authoring and translating several books, publishing dozens of articles in domestic and international art journals, supervising and advising numerous theses, holding solo exhibitions, participating in group exhibitions both in Iran and abroad, taking part in national and international art competitions, and earning multiple titles, awards, and honorary certificates — among them, an honorary diploma from the Moscow International Graphic Arts Exhibition. One of his notable publications is the book A Few Words About Contemporary Iranian Painting .
