Mario Cau (Brazil, 1984) is a comic book artist and illustrator. Winner of the Jabuti Award (2013) and Angelo Agostini Trophy (2015, 2018). Graduated in Visual Arts from Unicamp. Since 2004, he has worked professionally in comics and illustration. Co-creator of the award-winning collectives Quarto Mundo and Petisco . Author of the “Pieces” series and the graphic novel Morphine . Co-author of Monstruário , Terapia webcomic, and Dom Casmurro adaptation. Published in anthologies in Brazil and abroad. In the USA, published Vincent in Pieces , Teardrop , Absence . Finalist in Negative Space anthology (2023, 2024) and IC3 (2025). Illustrated Anne of Green Gables and Paschoa – Memories of My Childhood . Works in editorial, educational, and advertising illustration. Teacher for 17 years at Pandora School of Art, now at Inko Online. Believes in comics as a powerful form of communication and art.
