Carolina Zambrano is an illustrator, graphic designer, artist, and Jungian art therapist originally from Colombia and now based in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Her creative work delves into symbolic realms such as magic, alchemy, and the natural world, exploring both personal and collective archetypes. She specializes in editorial and youth illustration, advertising visuals, surface design, and pattern work applied to objects. Her illustrations—employing graphite pencil, fountain pen, acrylics, and digital color—have been selected for numerous international exhibitions, including the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration, Ukraine’s COW Biennial, the Design and Illustration Biennial in Peru, the Latin American Illustration Biennial in Mexico, and the San Juan de Pasto Art Salon in Colombia. Her accolades include the Latin American Illustration Award (2022), the Antonio García Cubas Award for a youth book, and the CANIEM Editorial Art Prize. She also won awards from Argentina’s Illustrators Association (2017, 2019), and took first place in the “New Talents” contest organized by Panamericana, Volcán Ediciones, and Wacom. Her work has been featured in the Ibero-America Illustrates Catalog and exhibited at the Guadalajara International Book Fair, and she continues to share her art and facilitate creative workshops rooted in Jungian-inspired art therapy.
