“I was born in April 1963 in Milan and studied graphic arts in Monza. I have been an editorial illustrator for 28 years publishing for many important Italian magazines. Three years ago I started painting and making humorous drawings. (You can find price and exhibition on my website.) My references are the surrealists and the new magical surrealists, like Rob Gonsalves, but the biggest artist in my heart is Brad Holland. Acrylic is the material I prefer because of its chromatic intensity and the possibility of precisely creating both backgrounds and details. I think that change begins with good ideas, in each image I make I try to put a different one, repeat the same ideas, it doesn't interest me. For me, all the images you can see here are sketches on paper, when a client asks me, I realize that it is a great painting on canvas. But only once for each one. “I still live and paint near Monza.”
