José A. Rodríguez Avila

José A. Rodríguez Avila was born on June 23, 1983. He studied at the Oscar Fernández Morera Academy of Fine Arts from 2000 to 2004. From 2010 to 2016, he studied Fine Arts at the University of the Arts of Havana. Throughout his artistic career, he has received several prizes and awards, including the International Visual Arts Award in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; a Mention at the Havana Contemporary Art Salon; the Escambray Newspaper Illustration Award; a Mention at the Salon of the City of Sancti Spiritus; and the Grand Prize at the Vita Brevis Contemporary Art Salon. He has collaborated with the digital magazine DDT Palante, the Cubadebate platform, and the Graficarte cartoon and illustration section of the Escambray newspaper.
