Call for Entries: Hiii Illustration Awards 2025 International Illustration Competition

The 13th edition of the Hiii Illustration Awards 2025 International Illustration Competition has officially launched, inviting illustrators, creative artists, design agencies, educators, and students from around the world to submit their work.

This event aims to identify outstanding illustration talent, recognize significant works, and support the professional development of the illustration industry on an international level.

Competition Categories – Hiii Illustration Awards 2025

For the first time, the competition will be held in two separate categories:

Themed Category (Specific Theme)

Theme: Symphony of Life

Participants are encouraged to visually depict concepts such as diversity, coexistence, acceptance of differences, and harmony between humans, nature, and society.

Themed Category Rules:
- Works must be created around the theme “Symphony of Life”
- Work creation period: January 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026
- Total prize pool for this category: 60,000 Chinese Yuan
- Participation in this category is completely free
Open Category (Free Theme)

The Open Category is unrestricted in theme and covers major fields of illustration. It includes the following five subcategories:
- Commercial Illustration
- Publishing Illustration
- Children’s Book Illustration
- Personal/Uncommissioned Works
- Animation

Competition Rules for Hiii Illustration Awards 2025

The competition is open to participants from all countries worldwide
Each submission must be original and not previously published or commercially produced
Submitted works must not have entered industrial production or commercial use

Judging Process

Submitted works will be reviewed in three stages by a specialized jury. This year’s jury consists of 7 internationally renowned illustrators. At the end, the winners of both categories (Themed and Open) will be announced and honored.

Prizes for the International Illustration Competition

Grand Prize (GWM Illustration Award – 3 works): 15,000 Chinese Yuan per work
Merit Award (3 works): 2,000 Chinese Yuan per work
Most Popular Award (1 work): 1,000 Chinese Yuan
Finalist (Shortlist – 8 works): 1,000 Chinese Yuan per work
