Brazilian photographer worked since 1973; his works were known for their sensitivity in addressing humanitarian issues
The world bids farewell to photographer Sebastião Salgado, who died at the age of 81 this Friday, the 23rd, in Paris, France. His countless works shed light on humanitarian issues, such as wars, poverty, inequality and injustice.
A native of Aimorés (MG), he had a master's and doctorate in Economics, but had been working with a camera in his hands since 1973. In 2024, he classified photography as a 'mirror of society', summarizing his entire career after receiving an award in London for his career.
