ARTBO 2025 arrives in Bogotá as a center for Latin American art and a driving force for the textile sector

The event has a direct impact on Bogotá's economy, generating benefits for tourism.

The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce is organizing the 21st edition of ARTBO - Bogotá International Art Fair, which will take place from today until September 28 at the Ágora Convention Center.
This cultural and commercial event is a benchmark for contemporary art and a space that connects artists, galleries, collectors, and the general public with the international scene. Jaime Martínez, director of the ARTBO program, highlighted the importance of this fair.
"We want to invite families to experience ARTBO. We have sections such as Artecámara, which showcases 21 emerging artists, and Articul.Arte, designed for family cultural activities. We also inaugurated the Trajectory section this year, in partnership with Bauer, with a special tribute to maestro Beatriz González," he noted.

This year, the fair brings together 46 galleries from 18 cities around the world, with proposals from 180 artists and the support of 32 cultural institutions. In addition, more than 100 publishers, distributors, and bookstores are present, turning the 9,345 m² exhibition space into a comprehensive platform for the circulation of creative goods and services.

One of the highlights of this edition is its diversity: 43% of the participating galleries are run by women, and the international presence includes countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Costa Rica, the United States, and Guatemala, among others.

The public will find a predominance of contemporary art (81%), along with modern art (17%) and mixed-media (2%), ranging from painting and sculpture to photography, installations, and weaving.

The special guest program is consolidating its position as a business driver: more than 200 collectors, curators, and museum directors will participate in 30 private meetings, in addition to specialized tours and visits to private collections, with the aim of encouraging transactions and strengthening commercial ties.
