Rudy Cottón Exhibition in Guatemala: A Visual Journey Through His Work
The opportunity to see the work of Guatemalan artist Rudy Cottón. Some of his work is distributed in public and private collections, such as the Museum of Latin American Art in Los Angeles, California.
Rudy Cottón is originally from San Pedro Sacatepéquez, San Marcos, and was born in 1959. As a teenager, his parents sent him to study art in the capital, at the Popular University.

In 1982, he received a scholarship from the French government to participate in the studio of M. Cassé in Paris. In 1985, he settled in Albi, the birthplace of the famous painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. He lived there for 15 years.

He is an urban primary school teacher and holds a degree in Visual Arts from the School of Art of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. He studied lithography in the studio of Michel Cassé in Paris, France. Some of his work is found in public and private collections, including the Museum of Latin American Art in Los Angeles, California; the UNESCO Archives in Paris; the Rozas-Botrán Foundation; the G&T Continental Foundation; the Paiz Foundation; the BCIE; and the art galleries of the Rafael Landívar, Galileo, and Francisco Marroquín Universities.
