Mexico. Exhibition From here and there

The Mexican Embassy in Argentina opened its doors for the exhibition "From here and there", an exhibition from the Casa Equis gallery that reflected the artistic synergy between Mexico and Argentina.

This event, which commemorated the gallery's second year in Buenos Aires, was held within the framework of the 135 years of diplomatic relations between both countries, emphasizing opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration.

The group exhibition showcased the works of Diego Beyró, Michelle Sitton and Laura Woller, artists who personified the interaction of memories and lived experiences between these two nations.

The exhibition not only explored artistic practices influenced by his ties to Mexico, but also highlighted memory as a crucial element in his creative process.

The event began with an opening cocktail on Wednesday, April 17, followed by a conversation on Thursday, April 18, where the Latin American art market and exchange experiences for artists from both countries were discussed.

Casa Equis, a fusion between an independent space and a traditional gallery, works mainly with emerging artists and has been part of important international fairs.

In 2023, the gallery was selected to receive funding from the FUTURA program, highlighting its commitment to developing new talent and reaching out to a broader and more diverse audience.

This event not only celebrated art and culture, but also strengthened ties between Mexico and Argentina, providing a space for reflection on the shared past and collaborative future in art and culture.

Equis Gallery

Five years ago, Argentine artist Diego Beyró founded the Casa Equis gallery in Mexico City with the premise of generating an accessible link between the public and art. This year, he returned to his native country to inaugurate a new gallery headquarters in Buenos Aires.
