Panama Art Week opens its doors for the 2025 edition, from May 21-25, with a series of exhibitions and celebrations of creativity and intellectual production ranging from art and culture to fashion.
The Pinta platform, renowned for its work promoting Latin American art, is the organizer of this first edition. This event aims to integrate the regional art scene, strengthen best practices within the sector, and consolidate Panama as a cultural center in Latin America. This new endeavor aligns with Pinta's mission to provide a vibrant space for contemporary artistic expression.
During this week of celebration, attendees will enjoy a varied program ranging from online activities to physical events. Studio visits will allow viewers a direct connection with the creative process of local and international artists. Additionally, exhibitions will be held in various galleries and cultural spaces, as well as talks and conferences that will provide dialogue and knowledge through the participation of curators and industry experts. The experience will be complemented by guided tours highlighting the best of Panama's artistic offerings and exploring its rich cultural heritage.
The curatorial direction will be in the hands of renowned Global Pinta Curator Irene Gelfman, along with Emilio Valdés, General Curator for this specific edition. Both curators are committed to offering a high-quality cultural experience that reflects the diversity and richness of Latin American art, ensuring that each activity and exhibition presents an innovative approach to art creation and appreciation.
Since its inception, Pinta has proven to be a fundamental pillar in the art world, connecting artists, galleries, and collectors globally. With events such as Pinta Lima and Pinta Miami, which attracted more than 52,000 visitors in 2024, the launch of Pinta Panama Art Week represents a continued dedication to promoting culture in Latin America, as well as a platform to foster dialogue and connection between the most relevant players in the contemporary art sector.
