MIRA Art Fair 2025: Latin American Art Conquers Paris Once Again

MIRA Art Fair 2025 brings together in Paris some of the most prominent galleries and artists from Latin America, building a vibrant bridge between the Latin American and European art scenes.

In its second edition, MIRA Art Fair 2025 reaffirms its commitment to promoting Latin American art in Paris, establishing itself as an essential platform for dialogue among galleries, artists, and collectors from both continents. The event will take place from November 13 to 16, 2025.

This year, the Parisian fair aims to elevate the quality of its proposal and expand its international reach with a bolder and more contemporary selection, recalling that last year about 8,000 people attended the Maison de L’Amérique Latine, located in Paris’s 7th arrondissement.

“We’ve tried to make the selection a bit more radical and of higher quality,” says Patricia Marshall, art collector and advisor, and member of the MIRA 2025 board, in an interview with Vogue México y Latam. She has worked closely with the organization to integrate galleries from across the region, especially from Mexico: “I’ve tried to fight to include as many Mexican galleries as possible because I adore the scene,” she adds enthusiastically.

The connection between Mexico and MIRA is not a coincidence. For several years, the Mexican art market has attracted international critics and collectors for its authenticity and depth. “It’s a very interesting scene, not so contaminated by money — people there talk about art and what is truly passionate at its core,” Marshall explains. For her, what distinguishes Latin American contemporary art is its humanistic focus and lesser commercial drive: “There are genuine collectors who support artists… with an authentic touch, real sensitivity, and true depth in the galleries.”

Among the names she mentions are established artists such as José Dávila and Darío Escobar, alongside a new generation of creators emerging from young galleries and alternative spaces: “There are many new galleries emerging every day in Mexico and the region, doing very interesting work,” she notes, recognizing the fundamental role of local institutions in the international projection of their artists.

“There is no country as dynamic and positive at this moment in the world. Everyone is looking toward Mexico.”

For some contemporary art experts, MIRA’s presence in Paris represents a significant step toward consolidating a global circuit for Latin American art. “I think it’s fantastic, as it will offer a new vision of the region, and there’s tremendous enthusiasm for what Mexico brings,” she says. In her view, the country has become a cultural and emotional hub for the art world: “There’s no country as dynamic and as positive at this moment in the world. Everyone is looking toward Mexico.”

Amid the logistical and financial challenges of bringing together galleries from across continents — especially given trade barriers — the fair stands as a meeting point where southern talent engages in an equal dialogue with the European gaze. This edition promises, more than ever, to look toward the future of art through the vitality of the Latin American present.
