Zsona Maco 2026: The Pulse of Art, Design, and Culture Redefining Latin America

Zsona Maco 2026 returns to Mexico City as Latin America's most influential art fair, solidifying its role as a meeting point for contemporary creation, design, collecting, and cultural thought.
To speak of Zsona Maco 2026 is to speak of one of the continent's most influential cultural projects. Since its inception, the fair has evolved from an exhibition event into an artistic ecosystem that connects markets, curatorial discourses, institutions, brands, and diverse audiences. In 2026, this platform reaches a moment of maturity reflected in the strength of its program and the breadth of its dialogues.

The 22nd edition of Zsona Maco, taking place from February 4 to 8, 2026, at the Citibanamex Center, brings together more than 200 galleries from the Americas, North America, and Europe, solidifying Mexico City's position as a key hub within the international art circuit. The fair not only exhibits artwork but also fosters thought, sparks conversations, and forges lasting connections between artists, collectors, and viewers.

Under the direction of Zélika García, founder of Zsona Maco, this edition is built upon a clear idea: exchange as a driving force for culture. This exchange encompasses disciplines, geographies, generations, and forms of artistic production that engage with the current historical and social context.

Contemporary Art: Cultural Exchange as a Curatorial Focus

The contemporary art section, curated by Aimé Iglesias, is one of the conceptual pillars of Zsona Maco 2026. Its approach understands contemporary art as a language of global exchange, capable of connecting diverse social, political, and cultural contexts.

This edition features 35 galleries, 17 of which are new, reinforcing the fair's dynamic nature. The artists come from Argentina, Chile, Japan, Mexico, and other countries, and present works that engage with themes such as migration, identity, displacement, memory, and the tensions between the local and the global.

The curatorial approach emphasizes the relevance of art as a tool for interpreting the historical present. The works are not limited to the aesthetic: they pose questions, generate friction, and build bridges between different realities.
