Sacred Art Celebrates Christmas Through Its Works

The museum launches a program of special initiatives today designed for all ages

From this Tuesday until January 6, the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, located in the ambulatory of the New Cathedral, opens its doors in a special way to join in the Christmas celebration.

“This museum, which houses unique works and is one of the most visited places by art and culture lovers, both local and from abroad, wants to bring Christmas closer to all audiences through several of its main paintings and sculptures displayed throughout its different rooms,” the museum explains.

The first event, for children aged 6 to 12, is titled Discover Christmas, where they will search for Christmas-themed artworks by following clues provided by museum staff.

For older children and adults, the themed tours Christmas in Art have been organized. These tours will detail all the Christmas artworks on display in the museum for approximately 60 minutes. The third activity, suitable for all ages and designed for families, will run continuously at the museum until January 6th. Participants will be given instructions for "The Christmas Game" and will complete challenges in various rooms.
