MON opens its doors to a sensory workshop for babies

The Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) will hold the June edition of MON Primeiros Passos this Thursday (12). Focusing on the works of Miguel Bakun, on display in the exhibition “Miguel Bakun: The Look of a Collection”, the June edition of MON Primeiros Passos will promote a dynamic and workshop for babies aged 25 to 36 months.

The activity proposes a playful and sensory dynamic, based on the question “What are clouds made of?” and other elements present in his works.

The meeting “Navigating Miguel Bakun’s Clouds” will be held on June 12, at 10:30 am, and will last one hour. To participate, it is necessary to purchase a ticket, which guarantees access for one child and one responsible adult, at the link below.

The program will begin in the Workshop Space, located in the basement of MON. Participants will then be taken to Room 11 to interact with the exhibition “Miguel Bakun: The View of a Collection”, in Room 11. To conclude, the little ones will be invited to participate in a sensory workshop using cotton and edible paint.

The materials used in the activity, provided by MON, will be: cotton, edible paints (made from wheat, salt and green or yellow dye), white voile fabric.

MON First Steps

Through investigations and multisensory actions, the MON First Steps program provides babies aged 1 to 3 years (12 to 36 months) with a sensitive contact with art and the Museum space. The meetings involve dynamics, workshops and activities in the exhibitions on display and in the MON Workshop Space.
