Nariño artist leads international painting competition in London

From London, Nariño artist Jaime Carlosama, originally from the municipality of Córdoba (Nariño) and raised in Ecuador, has organized the first Latin American Painters Competition in London, a unique initiative that seeks to showcase and celebrate Latin American artistic talent internationally.

A resident of the United Kingdom for over 25 years, Carlosama has worked tirelessly to build cultural bridges between Europe and Latin America. This competition is a testament to his commitment to art and regional identity.

The competition is open to visual artists from all over Latin America. Each participant may submit up to three works in techniques such as oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, or mixed media on canvas. The selected works will be exhibited in England, France, and Spain, bringing international exposure to their creations.

The awards ceremony will take place on August 21st at Casa Cuasmal del Carchi, Ecuador, and the top three prizes will be awarded with cash prizes and the honor of exhibiting in renowned European galleries.

This is a celebration of cultural diversity, creativity, and artistic innovation. Carlosama champions art that transcends borders, connecting stories and emotions through every stroke.

This competition is an open invitation for Latin American art to take its rightful place on the world stage.
