The Media Office of the Palestinian Government in Gaza announced on Saturday night that the number of martyred media professionals has risen to 240.
The statement reported that Khaled Mohammed Al-Madhoun, a photojournalist working for Palestine TV, was martyred today in an Israeli attack. It strongly condemned the deliberate targeting and planned assassinations of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation and called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all press institutions worldwide to denounce these crimes against journalists in Gaza.
The Media Office stressed that the Zionist occupiers, the U.S. government, and countries complicit in the genocide—such as the U.K., Germany, and France—bear full responsibility for these heinous crimes.
It urged the international community, global organizations, and journalism-related institutions to condemn these atrocities, prevent their continuation, prosecute the perpetrators before international courts, and bring the occupying criminals to justice.
The statement further appealed for serious and effective international pressure to stop the genocide and to protect journalists in Gaza from ongoing assassination crimes.
