One Hundred Years of Latin American Art History Analyzed

El Colegio de Sinaloa Launched Training Led by Alberto González Torres in Los Mochis
El Colegio de Sinaloa launched the "Edgardo Coghlan" Chair in Visual Arts, led by Alberto González Torres, on the theme of 20th-Century Latin American Art History, at the Center for Innovation and Education in Los Mochis.

Elmer Mendoza, president of El Colegio de Sinaloa, was present at the opening. He congratulated those in attendance for their desire to learn and recognized the strength of the people of Los Mochis to acquire new knowledge. Therefore, he offered the support of this organization to continue promoting educational and continuing education activities.
For his part, Alberto González commented that he is grateful for the support of El Colegio de Sinaloa, which has invited him to continue teaching courses on this topic in Culiacán, Mazatlán, and Los Mochis. He also acknowledged the audience's enthusiasm for exploring landmark 20th-century artists such as Frida Kahlo, Rufino Tamayo, Fernando Botero, Wilfredo Lam, among others.
It is important to note that the "Edgardo Coghlan" Lecture will analyze one hundred years of Latin American art history based on the themes of identity and nationalism; social and political reality; artistic movements and styles; as well as existential and personal themes.

The course will be divided into three parts. The first has already taken place; the second will be held on June 5, 6, and 7, and the third on June 12, 13, and 14, with sessions on Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. These courses are offered by El Colegio de Sinaloa to provide Sinaloa residents with access to specialized courses in various areas of knowledge, such as art, literature, law, science and education, and operatic improvement, among others.
