ArteCo Launch in Buenos Aires Prepared

The national launch of the 7th edition of the Corrientes Contemporary Art Fair, ArteCo, will take place on Monday, May 5, at noon, at the Banco de Corrientes Business Center in Buenos Aires.

The president of the Instituto de Cultura, Beatriz Kunin, along with ArteCo curator Joaquín Rodríguez, will lead the launch of ArteCo, which will take place from May 22 to 25 at Galería Colón (formerly the Colón cinema), and simultaneously in museums and various cultural spaces in Corrientes. Details will be provided about the renewed fair, which is on track to become the largest and most numerous edition in terms of venues, artists, and participating countries.

“We will present ArteCo 2025 to Buenos Aires officials, artists, collectors, and media outlets, inviting them to participate in this event, with the goal of contributing to and enhancing the region's visual arts sector,” said Beatriz Kunin.

“With the same mission of strengthening the art scene in Corrientes and the region, we are promoting dialogue between local artists and renowned national critics and journalists, theorists, and collectors from various provinces in Argentina and Paraguay. For the first time, Brazil and Uruguay are joining the event with the aim of contributing to strengthening the market, production, and dissemination of Argentine and Latin American art,” the provincial official announced.

It should be noted that 27 art galleries, 36 individual artists, and 23 projects and collectives from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay will participate in ArteCo.

In this way, this seventh edition consolidates its position as a meeting point for artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors, and managers to highlight local and regional production, foster dialogue among industry players, and promote the circulation and exhibition of works, boosting the economy and the exchange of knowledge.
