Between September 3rd and 11th, in the Parliament's Monumental Hall, paintings celebrating creative expression and Latin American cultural diversity will be exhibited free of charge and open to the public, from 8 am to 8 pm. The space was provided by Representative Dirceu Dalben (Citizenship).
Starting this Wednesday (3), the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly will host the exhibition "Pax XXI," which aims to bring together works that represent the diversity of Latin America, promoting intercultural dialogue and emphasizing respect for the local identities of each nation. Representative Dirceu Dalben (Citizenship) provided the exhibition space.
Curated by visual artist Cassiano Araújo, the exhibition was conceived as a tribute to the importance of art and to the curator's own career. He already has a work in the form of a "Triptych" (three paintings that form a single image) permanently displayed in the Assembly, and emphasizes that "exhibiting original works in a democratic space like the 9 de Julho Palace fosters unity and integration with society, strengthens our Latin American roots, and elevates political culture with inspiration from the beauty of art."
The exhibition was divided into three thematic areas with unique settings: war, symbolizing the memory of pain and resistance; sacred art, demonstrating transcendence and faith as a visual language; and body and spirit, seeking to expose the tension between matter and soul. Each theme represents a distinct facet of art's transformative potential, according to Cassiano Araújo.
The exhibition will remain on display at Alesp until September 11th, free of charge and open to the public, in the Monumental Hall, from 8 am to 8 pm.
