Art and collecting: giving Colombians the opportunity to discover the true value of their pieces.
International experts from Bogotá Auctions, the country's leading auction house, will be available to the public, this time in Cali and Medellín, to offer free appraisal sessions without an appointment. This initiative seeks to bring specialized knowledge about art, antiques, and collectibles to families, businesses, institutions, and collectors, and to promote, among other things, the appreciation of cultural heritage throughout the country.
Paintings, sculptures, installations, maps, books, documents, antique and designer objects, decorative art, vintage fashion, jewelry, prints, art nouveau or colonial objects, coins, books, multiples, and all types of collectibles will be appraised free of charge by experts from Bogotá Auctions, the country's leading auction house.
This is the extension, outside the Colombian capital, of one of the services provided by Bogotá Auctions. It will be available to all interested parties through an "Open House" in Cali from Monday, August 18th to Wednesday, August 20th, and in Medellín on Thursday, August 21st and Friday, August 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
You can discover the value of your pieces. During these events, the public will be able to discover the true—and in many cases surprising—value of paintings, sculptures, jewelry, historical documents, rare books, maps, antique and designer objects, vintage fashion, decorative art, prints, coins, furniture, and multiples.
All this is done by a team of specialists with more than a decade of experience and thousands of pieces appraised and auctioned in Colombia and abroad.

More than an appraisal: a value tool. Appraising works of art is much more than assigning a price. It is a fundamental process in legal and financial contexts such as inheritances, divorces, insurance, investments, or donations. A rigorous appraisal allows decisions to be made based on the true value of the property, avoid disputes, and protect assets of great economic and cultural value.
Cultural impact and international projection. Many pieces appraised by Bogotá Auctions experts spark the interest of universities, museums, and historical archives. Prominent examples include colonial documents, first editions of Latin American books, and antique maps that have been the subject of research or acquisition by institutions such as the Luis Ángel Arango Library and local and foreign universities. This work contributes to preserving and disseminating Colombian cultural heritage both within and outside the country.
Bogotá Auctions brings art and collecting closer to everyone. "We want Colombians to have the opportunity to discover the true value of their pieces and, at the same time, experience the world of art and auctions without barriers or costs," states Bogotá Auctions.
