The Barranquilla Museum of Modern Art revives its history with the "Sentipensantes" exhibition
The Barranquilla Museum of Modern Art (MAMB) reopened its doors in a temporary location with the Sentipensantes exhibition, an exhibition that invites visitors to explore the most significant moments in its history and rediscover art as an act that involves both thought and emotion.

We toured works by great masters of Colombian art such as Alejandro Obregón, Fernando Botero, and other key artists from the country. The exhibition allows visitors to appreciate these priceless treasures, which are part of the museum's cultural heritage and have been carefully preserved over time.

The exhibition not only highlights artistic milestones since the MAMB's founding in 1945, but also seeks to generate an intimate connection between the works and visitors. Sentipensantes offers an experience that invites them to think with their hearts and feel with their minds, through pieces that tell stories of the territory, identity, and collective sensitivity.

In conversation with Diana Acosta, the museum's director, she emphasized the importance of keeping this cultural legacy alive and extended an open invitation to the public: "We want everyone to come and explore each piece, to fall in love with art and make it a part of their lives. This is a space to reflect, to feel, but above all, to rediscover who we are."

With this exhibition, the MAMB reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of modern and contemporary art, despite the challenges it faces. The exhibition will be open to the public with complementary programming that includes guided tours, discussions, and educational activities.
