Call for galleries and projects launched for Capital Feria

Call for galleries and projects launched for Capital Feria

The event returns in 2026, and a committee of international curators is searching for galleries that will set the pace for contemporary art.
After its first edition in April of this year, Capital Feria has established itself as a crucial meeting and communication space for strengthening the region's cultural fabric.

Its objective is to promote critical dialogue and highlight the richness and diversity of artistic territories and languages.

As part of the call for galleries and spaces, its directors, Mercedes López Moreyra and Luz Novillo Corvalán, appointed an international selection committee that will be responsible for ensuring the quality and representativeness of the proposals for next year.

This committee will be composed of Ana Castella (director of Salón Acme, Mexico), Nancy Rojas (curator of Malba), and Valeria López (Satélite gallery). They, along with the directors of Capital Feria, will be responsible for the selection.
More Galleries and Partnerships with the Business World

The 2026 edition—which will take place from March 12 to 15 in the Capitalinas District—will expand its participation to 30 galleries, and the call is open nationally and internationally. This decision seeks to diversify the voices present at the fair and reinforce its open, inclusive, and dynamic nature, promoting access to and incorporation of new audiences into the art market.

Far from attempting to replicate existing models, Capital Feria is committed to strengthening a unique platform that showcases outstanding, innovative projects and other emerging contemporary formats.

Indeed, the success of the inaugural edition, which in April 2025 brought together 24 galleries from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico (many of which had to replace works mid-event due to sold-out events), confirmed the need to continue consolidating this space in the region's cultural calendar.

Promoted by Capitalinas and Way Out Producciones, the fair seeks to generate strategic alliances with the business, architecture, and design worlds to boost the art market.

In this sense, the second edition will deepen these ties and strengthen links with public and private collections, encouraging the circulation of works and the exchange of ideas among contemporary Latin American art figures.
"We are very happy because not only did top-level galleries join us, but there was also a very eager and enthusiastic Córdoba market eager to acquire and learn about the proposals of the galleries that were exhibiting," López Moreyra told Perfil Córdoba, highlighting the positive momentum motivating this early launch.
Finally, the central auditorium, a space for conversation and listening, will once again be a key location for talks, interviews, and discussion panels.
