31 CHILDREN BURNED ALIVE BY ISRAEL
Israeli attack on school in Gaza kills children and triggers humanitarian crisis
In the early hours of Monday, May 26, an Israeli airstrike hit a school housing displaced people in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza, killing at least 30 Palestinians, including children. According to the local Civil Defense, charred bodies were recovered from the rubble, and videos on social media show a minor trying to escape the flames. The attack also destroyed classrooms that had been converted into shelters.
Hours earlier, another airstrike demolished a residential building on Thawra Street, burying nearby displaced people's tents and killing four people. In Yabalia, 15 people were killed in a separate airstrike that destroyed a two-story house. Teams are searching for survivors under the rubble.
The UN and humanitarian organizations have condemned the use of civilian targets, noting that schools and hospitals are protected by international law. The Zionist offensive, which Netanyahu said could last months, aims to expel the civilian population from northern Gaza to the southern part of the Palestinian enclave.
