Humanitarian Mission: Palestinian Artist in Gaza Sends Message to Flotilla: "You Are the Living Symbol of Our Resilience"
Artist Batool Adwan, a illustrator living in Gaza amid the Zionist invasion, sent a beautiful message of support to the Global Sumud Flotilla on the humanitarian mission's social media.
We shared this message, which demonstrates the connection this important mission to Gaza to break the humanitarian siege has established with the Gazan population, who are resisting the worst moment of Israel's genocidal project.
To the Heroes of the Global Sumud Flotilla
From the heart of besieged Gaza, we send you our love and deepest gratitude.
You are the hope we cling to in Gaza, here to save our lives and open a humanitarian sea passage to life, breaking the suffocating siege.
Stand firm, for you are the saviors and the living symbol of our resilience. We know that danger approaches you day by day, but we trust that your ships will anchor off our shores safely and in peace.
Our hearts are with you, and our eyes are fixed on the horizon, awaiting your arrival. You are the message of freedom and the voice of humanity.
As the participants in this mission affirm, the objective of the Global Sumud Flotilla is not limited to delivering humanitarian aid, nor even opening a humanitarian corridor, as part of the fight against the ongoing genocide. It also aims to show the population in Gaza that they are not alone, that a growing international solidarity movement is fighting in every country alongside the heroic Palestinian resistance. A solidarity that, following the example of the strength demonstrated by the general strike in Italy, can bring about the end of the historic genocide with a Free Palestine from the River to the Sea.
