As part of the "Bogotá, my City, my Home" strategy, the District invites you to rediscover the capital's most emblematic museums.
Bogotá is a city that breathes history, art, and culture in every corner. Its museums are living witnesses to the country's past and present, spaces where collective memories are preserved and national talent is celebrated. The best part: many of them offer free admission, making them a perfect option to enjoy with family, friends, or even alone, without spending a penny.
As part of the "Bogotá, my City, my Home" strategy, the District invites you to rediscover the capital's most emblematic museums, where history, art, and identity blend into experiences accessible to all. Here are five must-see museums you can visit for free in 2025.

It is located in a restored colonial mansion, located at Calle 11 # 4-41. It is open every day except Tuesdays, with free admission.

It is located at Calle 12B # 2-96 and is open every day except Tuesdays, with free admission.
3. National Museum of Colombia
It is the oldest museum in the country and one of the most important in Latin America. It is located at Carrera 7 # 28-66 and admission is free on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the last Sunday of each month. It is open Tuesday through Sunday.
4. Independence Museum – Casa del Florero
An icon of national history. In its six interactive rooms, visitors can relive the events of July 20, 1810, and other momentous moments in Colombian history, such as the Capture of the Palace of Justice in 1985.
