The Contemporary Art Fair begins

The “International Contemporary Art Fair (FIACI)” is presented from yesterday, Wednesday, until next June 18 in different art galleries in Santo Domingo de Guzmán and Santiago de los Caballeros.

With this fair, the country is called to live a unique experience in art and culture, say its organizers.

It is the first International Contemporary Art Fair (FIACI) to be presented in the country, which constitutes an activity of great relevance for the Latin American art world, they indicate.
Both Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros are epicenters of creativity and artistic expression, where the past, present and future become a vibrant visual dialogue, they announce.

On this occasion, FIACI brings together more than 80 national and international artists and some 350 works of contemporary art, which are exhibited simultaneously at the Palace of Fine Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Centro Cultural Banreservas, ASR Galería and Centro León .

This meeting, which will serve as a showcase for this select group of artists, will also serve to pay tribute to the memory and legacy of some of the Dominicans who have left an indelible mark on the history of national art, they state in a press release.
