VENEZUELAN ARTIST OSCAR OLIVARES INAUGURATED FIRST TAPAS MURAL IN ITALY

MCY CITY.-The Venezuelan artist Oscar Olivares inaugurated in the municipality of Foggia, in Italy, an immense and colorful mural created with more than 40,000 plastic lids, with the aim of representing the value of the transfer of knowledge between generations.

In the work, Olivares shows some monuments of Foggia and a grandfather with his granddaughter who represents the connection between the two, values and generations. He also added the flags of Italy and Venezuela as a sign of affection and gratitude to these nations. The mural is strategically located in the courtyard of a school in this southern city.

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO CREATE THE WORK?
The mural was created in a week of work; in addition, it took a year to collect the material, which was a total of 40,000 plastic caps that give shape to the mural. He had the help of associations and local residents to obtain these.

Olivares is known for his colorful works and for the incorporation of Venezuelan elements in them, such as Art with the Flag of Venezuela, Los Héroes de la Libertad Spider-Man Having Lunch and for the wide variety of plastic lid murals that he has developed in different cities in Venezuela.

Thanks to this, his talent has managed to obtain various recognitions such as the Ibero-American Online Entrepreneurship Award 2015 and the Mara de Oro Award in 2017 and Mara de Platino in 2022.
