Two Argentinians Selected for International Art Residency at El Espacio 23

Artist Jimena Croceri and curator Sebastián Vidal were selected by El Espacio 23 and the Ama Amoedo Foundation.

They will develop research and production projects in Miami during 2026 and 2027.
The initiative aims to strengthen the presence of contemporary Latin American art in international circuits.
Artist Jimena Croceri and curator Sebastián Vidal were selected from among applicants from across the country to participate in the residency at El Espacio 23, Miami, by that institution and the Ama Amoedo Foundation. Vidal Mackinson (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1977) will undertake this curatorial residency in July-August 2026, and Croceri (Cutral-Có, Argentina, 1981) will participate in February-March 2027.

“Espacio 23 is undoubtedly a landmark for contemporary art in the region. This residency offers the time, resources, and networks necessary to expand the research and production of those selected, within one of the most relevant cultural scenes for Latin American art,” explained Amalia Amoedo, president of the Foundation that bears her name.

She added: “That is why joining forces and sharing a genuine commitment to the art of our country and continent fills me with pride. I am certain that Sebastián and Jimena will find an enriching environment for their curatorial and artistic practices.”
