23 years after the inauguration of the Buenos Aires Museum of Latin American Art (Malba), a new space was opened with the name of Malba Puertos, in the city of Puertos in Escobar, province of Buenos Aires. An impressive work designed by the Spanish architect Juan Herreros. At the opening event, the presence of artists, cultural managers and collectors from the province of Santa Fe stood out. At the inaugural exhibition, the works of Rosario native Luis Ouvrard shined in the exhibition "Natural Essays."

Malba Puertos is made up of five indoor and outdoor spaces that offer different formats and exhibition supports: the Forest Rooms, the Chaile Room, the Technical Reserve, the Lake Room and the Public Art Circuit. The latter is made up of more than twenty pieces – spread out along a route that crosses the two-hundred-hectare Central Lake and the Natural Reserve on the Luján River – that coexist with the landscape and spaces for community use.
The Public Art circuit, where large-scale sculptures are exhibited, featured works by artists Eugenia Calvo, Mimi Laquidara and Federico Cantini. In the central and most important exhibition, with the exquisite curation of Alejandra Aguado and under the title “Natural Essays” based on twelve large-scale panels, a game of glances was established between the Argentine pictorial installation (landscapes) of the Mondongo duo, made up of Juliana Laffitte and Manuel Mendanha, with another twelve paintings by Luis Ouvrard (Rosario, 1899-1988), made between 1966 and 1986.
The esteemed paintings by Ouvrard in the new cultural and artistic space created by Eduardo Costantini, belong mostly to his heirs and to Rosario collectors who insistently value and promote local art of the 20th century. Among them are the artists and editors Ana Wandzik and Maximiliano Masuelli and the lawyer Jorge Mattos, former president of the Friends of the Museo Marc Association, who was present at the inauguration, celebrating together with curators from Rosario such as Nancy Rojas (curator of the Malba) and Pablo Montini (director of the Museo Marc) this new chapter in the history of the hierarchy of art produced in the city.
On the other hand, the Editorial Iván Rosado, run by Masuelli and Ana Wandzik, opened last week in its exhibition space an exhibition about the artist that will run throughout the year.

The exhibition of the works of the Rosario artist Luis Ouvrard in the new and impressive Malba Puertos is an excellent opportunity to enjoy his paintings. The exhibition will be available until December 8.
