Have you not yet visited the 26th National Glass in Art Salon? Don't worry, you still have time. You can do so until Friday, November 1.

The event, promoted and inaugurated by the mayor of Berazategui, Juan José Mussi, exhibits 88 pieces by Argentine and Latin American artists.

The Hall can be visited, free of charge, at the Glass Museum (MuVi) -which operates in the San Francisco Municipal Cultural Complex (149th and 23rd Street)- on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, for the closing, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“I feel more and more proud of the culture of Berazategui. We will continue to bet on all this that generates pride in us and makes the boys and girls of the schools come to learn more about glass. I am happy and grateful to all those who make the Hall possible,” said Mussi.

For his part, the Secretary of Culture and Education, Federico López, highlighted: “This is a public place of excellence, which allows glass art to be made visible. We are very happy that it continues to grow. Thanks to the Mayor for the permanent support and for giving a central place to culture.”

Since 1994, the Hall has been organized with the objective of promoting technique, creativity and artistic expression in glass. The relevance of this industry in the historical development of the district became one of the identity references of the community.

In this 26th edition, the winning work is “Atrapados en la esperanza” (Trapped in Hope) by the artist from the City of Buenos Aires, María Elisa Grisolía. It was acquired by the Municipality to integrate the collection of contemporary art with the rest of the winning pieces in previous editions.
